ISLAMABAD, June 24 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan on Monday strongly condemned attack on Saudi Arabia's Abha airport, which resulted in one death and injuries to eight others.
Pakistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the country reiterates its full support and solidarity with the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia against any threat to its security and territorial integrity.
A Syrian resident was killed, while eight civilians were wounded in an apparently drone attack that hit the parking area of the airport on Sunday.
Earlier on Saturday, the fighter jets of the Saudi-led alliance intercepted and destroyed two drones in the Yemeni air space, launched by the Houthi militias.
The coalition said that the Houthi militias launched the drones from the Sanaa governorate.
This was the second attack on the airport during the ongoing month. On June 12, the Houthi rebels targeted Abha airport with a cruise missile that reportedly fell on the arrivals hall, injuring 26 civilians.
