A local religious organization called Sunni Tahreek has announced a three-day mourning following the attack.

Pakistani Taliban have claimed responsibility for the blasts.

Thursday night suicide blasts remind people of the blasts of the same nature that took place at a shrine in Pakistan's eastern city of Lahore on July 1, during which 45 people were killed and about 175 others were injured.

The local media has criticised the government and the police for the poor security measures provided at the public places.

"Why these suicide blasts have always killed the ordinary civilians? " said one local resident angrily.
