Hu said China respects and supports positive efforts of the DPRK to ease the situation of the peninsula while improving the outside environment.

China held that all parties concerned should continue to actively work for peace and stability of the Korean Peninsula as well as the goal of denuclearization of the peninsula, he said.

He called on all parties concerned to make positive efforts for the ease of the current tension, early resumption of the six-party talks and gradual improvement of the situation of the Korean Peninsula.

Kim highly appreciated China's positive efforts and contribution to the six-party talks and maintaining the peace and stability of the Korean Peninsula.
