TEHRAN, May 23 (Xinhua) -- Iran officially handed to the IAEA chief a letter on the nuclear fuel swap deal based on a joint declaration by Iran, Brazil and Turkey, the local satellite Press TV reported Sunday.
Yukiya Amano, the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), received the letter on Sunday, the report said.
In the letter, Iran has set out the terms for the nuclear fuel swap based on the declaration, according to Press TV.
Iran signed here a nuclear fuel swap agreement with Turkey and Brazil last Monday.
According to the agreement, the Tehran government has agreed to a draft proposal whereby Iran will send some 1,200 kg of its 3.5 percent enriched uranium over to Turkey in exchange for a total of 120 kg 20-percent uranium needed for a medical research reactor.
