ISLAMABAD - Another suspect admitted his involvement in the assassination of former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto before the court of Rawalpindi on Friday.
The suspect Abdul Rashid who was arrested by the police on Wednesday, belongs to Shabqadar area of Charsadda in North West Frontier Province, the official Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) reported.
Abdul Rashid is the fifth suspect arrested on charge of involvement in Bhutto's assassination. He admitted all the charges against him before the Magistrate Ahmed Masood Janjua, said the report.
The suspect confessed that he facilitated Rafaqat and Hasnain Gul, who had previously confessed their involvement in the same case, in attacking Bhutto. After his confession, the Magistrate sent him to central jail.
Benazir Bhutto was killed in gunshots and bombing attacks on Dec. 27 when she went out of the Liaqat Bagh park where she addressed an election rally.
