I'm sorry

I'm sorry

I'm sorry

I'm sorry to hear about your accident.

You'll be sorry
If someone says 'You'll be sorry', they are threatening you or warning you and suggesting that something unpleasant will happen to you because of your actions.

You'll be sorry if you leave without a word.

Get back in there, or you'll be sorry.

you'll be sorry you asked

A: "What brought you all the way out to this part of Arizona?"

B: "You'll be sorry you asked."

A: "Try me."

B: "Well, my abusive ex-boyfriend ran off with all of my savings and I got evicted from my apartment in Reno. My aunt lives here and is letting me stay with her while I get back on my feet."

“Looks like I gave you the wrong phone number. Sorry about that.”

“I lost the book you lent me. I’m so sorry!“

“Oops / whoops – I just spilled some coffee. I’ll clean it up.”

“Oh, I sent you the wrong link. My bad.”

“It was my fault that we didn’t get to the airport on time.”
你可以说it was my fault,承认你对更严重的事情负责。

“I take full responsibility for failing to train the employees properly.”
“I take full responsibility”

“I can’t believe I forgot your birthday. I messed up.“
“I messed up / I screwed up”(我搞砸了)是表示你做错了某事的非正式说法。

“My apologies for keeping you waiting. I’m running a little late today.”
“My apologies for” 和“I apologize for” 在商务或者专业场景是一个非常常见的说法。

“I owe you an apology. I said some horrible things to you.”
“I owe you an apology” (我欠你一个道歉)这句话经常被用来开始对话。

“I shouldn’t have taken your camera. I should have asked you first.”
你可以说“I should have”,“I shouldn’t have”来说明正确的行为是什么样的(而你没有做)。

“Sorry – is anyone sitting here?”
“Excuse me – is anyone sitting here?”
