Japan has condemned the DPRK for the firing of the ballistic missiles into the sea, saying it was a clear violation of UN resolutions.

Japanese Defense Minister Gen Nakatani said he could not rule out further provocations, so its military will remain on alert. Nakatani added that the missiles are believed to be scud missiles which have the capacity of reaching Japanese cities such as Osaka and Nagoya.
