China’s Commerce Ministry has expressed its dissatisfaction towards a plan by the United States to impose tariffs of up to 35% on Chinese solar products.

China says the U.S. is ignoring legal grounds of the case and is calling for a more prudent investigation from its American counterparts.

Officials in China say the move will worsen and escalate existing China-U.S. trade disputes and won’t help with the development of the solar industry in the US.
