MOSCOW, Sept. 23 (Xinhua) -- New U.S. sanctions on Russia's defense sector will not hinder the country's arms production, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov said Sunday.
He told Rossiya-1 TV channel that it is impossible for the restrictive measures to decrease the rate of development in Russia's defense sector and Moscow will always be able to find a way out.
U.S. President Donald Trump on Thursday issued an executive order to implement a U.S. sanction against Russia, blacklisting 33 Russian entities and individuals allegedly linked to the defense sector and intelligence services.
"Each new round of sanctions demonstrates that attempts to pressure Russia do not lead to the results desired by our foes," Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said Friday.
