HANOI, Sept. 15 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines has decided to cancel and delay flights to and from China's Hong Kong on Sunday and Monday to avoid impacts from super typhoon Mangkhut.
The carrier will cancel four flights between Hanoi capital or Ho Chi Minh City and Hong Kong, on Sunday, Vietnam News Agency reported on Saturday.
It will also delay two flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Hong Kong on Monday.
Natural disasters, mostly typhoons, floods and landslides, killed or left missing 153 people and injured 119 others, and caused property losses of over 7,000 billion Vietnamese dong (304.3 million U.S. dollars) in the first eight months of this year, according to Vietnam's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
