"Today, the Iranian nation is vigilant. This awareness has prompted a movement across Iran," Ahmadinejad said.

Iran is resolute to conquer the highest peaks of progress around the globe, Ahmadinejad said, calling on the Iranian people to strengthen unity to achieve this goal.

"A bright and glorious future lies ahead of the Iranian nation, " Press TV quoted him as saying.

The United States and other Western countries worry that Tehran may obtain the uranium fuel needed for nuclear weapons by the same process to purify uranium. The Iranian government insists its nuclear program is for peaceful purpose.
