Present at the press conference were Thailand's military top brasses, including Deputy chief of staff Lieutenant General Dapong Rattanasuwan and CRES spokesman and Col. Sansern Kaewkamnerd.

Security forces followed international standard as they were operating to disperse the violent movement by the anti-government protesters, Col. Sansern emphasized at the press conference.

The anti-government protesters had occupied the Rajprasong Intersection since early April and they ended their prolonged rally in the afternoon on May 19.
