KABUL, Dec. 26 (Xinhua) -- A rocket struck Afghan capital Kabul Saturday evening, injuring three people, an official who declined to be named told Xinhua.
The official said the rocket was launched into the yard of Afghan Defense Ministry. Windows of the ministry's building were also smashed in the blast.
Increasing militancy was seen in Afghanistan after U.S. President Barack Obama announced earlier this month an additional 30,000 troops to the war-torn country. On Dec. 15, a powerful bomb blast rocked Kabul, leaving eight civilians dead and 40 others injured.
