PARIS, Dec. 7 (Xinhua) -- Last year's Cross Alps Tour winner Sandra Naeslund of Sweden and Canadian Kevin Drury claimed the women's and men's ski cross World Cup wins respectively in Val Thorens, France on Friday.
Naeslund scraped to the victory in a photo finish with Courtney Hoffos of Canada who got the podium finish in only her third World Cup.
Canadian India Sherret managed to finish in third position leaving World Champion Marielle Thompson off the podium.
Drury proved his dominance after winning the qualification the day before while the 23-year-old Frenchman Youri Duplessis Kergomard performed very strongly throughout the day and finished second to claim his first podium spot out of 11 World Cup races.
Rounding out the podium was Swiss Ryan Regez.
