NEW YORK, Nov. 23 (Xinhua) -- Olympic champion Justin Kripps of Canada has been leading the 4-man bobsleigh overall rankings after the International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation (IBSF) North American Cup in Lake Placid, USA, concluded on Friday.
Katie Uhlaender from USA is ranked first in women's skeleton overall standings. Nathan Crumpton from USA Samoa and Martin Rosenberger from Germany are level on points on the top of the men's skeleton field.
After two victories in the first two races in Lake Placid, the 2-man bobsleigh Olympic champion Kripps also leads the overall standings in 4-man bobsleigh. US pilot Hunter Church is second overall ahead of Benjamin Maier from Austria.
In the men's skeleton, Rosenberger and Crumpton are currently level on points with second and third places respectively. Ander Mirambell from Spain, North American Cup overall winner in 2016, is third overall. Both victories at Lake Placid went to China as Geng Wenqiang and Yan Wengang took the gold, respectively.
In women's skeleton, both victories in Lake Placid and thus the overall lead went to Katie Uhlaender from the USA, the 2008 world champion.
Reigning junior world champion Anna Fernstadtova from Czech Republic came second in both races. Mystique Ro from the USA is third overall following her first ever podium finish (3rd) in an IBSF race.
