ACCRA, Nov. 6 (Xinhua) -- The executive council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has elected Mark Addo as the new vice-president of the federation.
Addo was elected during the executive council's maiden official meeting in Accra Tuesday night.
Addo, a renowned business mogul, garnered six points to beat off stiff competition from Randy Abbey, who polled with four votes, while Tony Aubynn had one point.
The new GFA vice president was elected onto the executive council as one of three representatives of second-tier league clubs last month.
Addo will serve a four-year term and is expected to support the FA Kurt Okraku as well as the executive council to steer the affairs of the GFA.
