PARIS, Aug. 14 (Xinhua) -- Ligue 1 club Lyon on Wednesday signed France U-21 international midfielder Jeff Reine-Adelaide from Angers through a five-year contract.
Lyon revealed that Reine-Adelaide's transfer fee was worth 25 million euros, as well as incentives of up to 2.5 million euros and a 15 percent of capital gain in future transfers.
The 21-year-old Reine-Adelaide has committed to Lyon through to June 30, 2024.
Reine-Adelaide joined Arsenal at the age of 17, making his Gunners debut against Lyon in the Emirates Cup. He made a move to Angers in January 2018, scoring four goals in 46 Ligue 1 matches.
Reine-Adelaide participated in U-21 Euros in June, reaching the semifinals with French team, also featuring his new club teammates Houssem Aouar, Lucas Tousart and Moussa Dembele.
"Olympique Lyonnais is delighted over the arrival of Jeff Reine-Adelaide, considered one of the country's top prospects in his position," Lyon said in a statement.
