BUENOS AIRES, Aug. 2 (Xinhua) -- Argentine striker Dario Benedetto bid farewell to Boca Juniors on Friday ahead of his widely anticipated move to France's Olympique de Marseille.
The 29-year-old is expected to sign a four-year deal after a medical scheduled at the French club's training base on Saturday.
"What I experienced at Boca will never happen anywhere else," Benedetto said in a local television interview.
"I always wanted to play at an important club in Europe and now it's going to happen. I'm sad to be leaving Boca but happy for the opportunity that I've been given."
Benedetto scored 32 goals in 48 league appearances for Boca, having joined the club from Mexican side America in 2016.
He has been capped five times for Argentina since his international debut in 2017.
