HANOI, July 20 (Xinhua) -- China whitewashed Thailand 3-0 on Saturday, entering the final of the ongoing third Asian women's U23 volleyball championship.
Defeating Thailand 25-14, 25-21 and 25-21 in 85 minutes, China secured its six-match unbeatable streak at the championship which will conclude on Sunday in Vietnam's capital Hanoi.
Taking advantage of their smooth coordination for attacks and their outstanding average height of 1.85 meters, Chinese young women succeeded in making much more blocks and spikes than their opponents during the semifinals.
Earlier, China crushed Vietnam 3-1, and steamrolled China's Hong Kong, New Zealand, India and Chinese Taipei with the same final score of 3-0.
In another semifinals also on Saturday, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea downed Vietnam 3-1 (18-25, 25-20, 26-24, 25-21) in more than two hours.
