LE HAVRE, June 16 (Xinhua) -- Chinese team captain Wu Haiyan said on Sunday that her side is focused on beating Spain in their last Group B game of the FIFA Women's World Cup.
China, who garnered three points from two group matches, will play against Spain, who also got three points but enjoyed a goal difference advantage, on Monday.
The runner-up of Group B will probably face the defending champions of the United States in the final 16.
"We don't think about the possible consequences of the match against Spain," said Wu.
"All the group games are crucial for us, and we wanted to win all of them," she said.
"Spain is a team with a lot of flair, and we also have our own advantage," said Wu. "We studied them in detail and made meticulous preparation. We know how to deal with them," she said.
