LONDON, May 17 (Xinhua) -- China's diving Dream Team declined to make a clean sweep on day one at the last leg of FINA diving World Series in London, but took two out of four gold medals on offer here on Friday.
Following their senior debut in Kazan last week, China's 13-year-old pairing of Chen Yuxi and Yuan Haoyan remained unbeatable in London with a title-winning 334.92-point dive in the women's 10m platform synchronized.
Meanwhile at men's 3m springboard synchronized, the Chinese divers Wu Luxian and Wang Zongyuan saw a poor start but managed to rally back in their final dive, reaching a combined 418.68 points and landing atop the podium.
Russian Evgenii Kuznetsov and Nikita Shleikher finished the second and Ukraine's Oleksandr Gorshkovozov and Oleg Kolodiy surprisingly claimed the bronze.
British Thomas Daley and Matthew Lee, who won the bronze of men's 10m synchronized platform in Kazan last week, dominated the event in front of home crowd. China's Yang Hao and Lian Junjie, overtaken by their British competitors' invincible 477.90 points, took the silver, while Russia's Viktor Minibaev and Aleksandr Bondar finished in the third place.
Elsewhere in the women's 3m springboard synchronized event, the Chinese Lin Shan/Chang Yani were also overturned and settled for the silver, as Australia's Maddison Keeney and Anabelle Smith were crowned.
