RIO DE JANEIRO, Dec. 30 (Xinhua) -- Luiz Felipe Scolari could return to China as coach of Dalian Yifang, according to press reports in Brazil.
Scolari has been approached by Dalian officials about the possibility of taking charge of the club in 2019, though the 70-year-old is reluctant to quit his job as manager of Palmerias, Globo Esporte reported on Sunday.
Dalian Yifang, who finished 11th in the 2018 Chinese Super League standings, are currently coached by former Real Madrid manager Bernd Schuster.
Scolari had success in China as coach of Guangzhou Evergrande from 2015 to 2017, guiding the club to three straight league titles, two super cups and an Asian Champions League crown.
This year he led Palmerias to their 10th Brazilian Serie A title, having taken charge in July when they were sixth in the standings.
In the past month, the manager of Brazil's 2002 World Cup-winning team has reportedly turned down offers to coach Boca Juniors and Colombia's national side.
