MADRID, Nov. 26 (Xinhua) -- FC Barcelona will be without striker Luis Suarez for the next two weeks as the Uruguayan joins the club's lengthening injury list. Suarez has been left out of Barcelona's squad for Wednesday's Champions League tie away to PSV Eindhoven as he begins therapy on his right knee, which will keep him out of action for two weeks.
This means he will also miss next weekend's La Liga match against Villarreal and perhaps the Barcelona derby against city rivals, Espanyol a week later. The forward is joined on the injury list by reserve goalkeeper, Jasper Cillessen, who suffered a muscle injury in training which will sideline him for between two to three weeks.
Meanwhile midfielder Arthur is also out of the trip to the Netherlands with a slight groin strain. These three players names are added to those of right back, Sergi Roberto, who is out of action for a month after tearing a hamstring in Saturday's 1-1 draw away to Atletico Madrid, and Rafinha, who is out for the rest of the season after tearing the cruciate ligament in his right knee in the same game.
The good news for coach Ernesto Valverde is that midfielder Ivan Rakitic and forward Philippe Coutinho should both be available on Wednesday after missing out at the weekend through injury. Meanwhile the Spanish press reports on Monday that defender Gerard Pique has been fined 48,000 euros (1 euro =1.13 US dollars) for driving without a valid license.
