BEIJING, Nov. 10 (Xinhua) -- The powerhouse Shandong defeated Tongxi with a margin as large as 23 points in the 10th round of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) on Saturday.
After establishing a 11-3 lead at the very beginning of the game, Shandong grabbed a 19-point advantage in the first half as Andrew Goudelock buried four three-pointers in a row.
Tongxi fought hard, but Tao Hanlin and Goudelock didn't give them any chance. Shandong kept the gap as large as 20 points and made the game into garbage time early in the fourth quarter.
Donatas Motiejunas got a team-high 27 points and 21 rebounds for Shandong, Goudelock had 24 points, and Tao Hanlin pocketed 18 points. Former NBA player Joseph Young scored a game-high 45 points and six rebounds for Tongxi.
In other matches on Saturday, Shenzhen also won over Tianjin 152-130, as six players scored in double figures, and Guangzhou lost to Fujian 104-117.
