The result at Presidente Peron stadium means Racing now have a five-point lead over second-placed Union in the 26-team standings.
Meanwhile Velez Sarsfield moved up to fourth after Braian Cufre's second-half goal secured a 1-0 home win over Belgrano.
In other matches on Sunday, Patronato overcame Rosario Central 2-1 and Estudiantes beat Banfield 2-0.
On Monday, Newell's Old Boys will host Argentinos Juniors and San Martin are at home to Defensa y Justicia.
