SARAJEVO, Oct. 27 (Xinhua) -- The Czech Republic beat Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) 25-20 in the second round of the 2020 European Men's Handball Championship qualifying tournament in Tuzla on Saturday evening.
In the full Mejdan Hall in Tuzla, a city located some 120 kilometers northeast of BiH capital Sarajevo, both teams played well. BiH head coach Bilal Suman called a time-out when the visitors took a 12-10 lead before the break.
Both teams played defensively at the beginning of the second half. Then the visitors scored three goals, forcing Suman to call another time-out at 15-11. The rest of the second half was a splendid show by the visiting team.
The qualification will continue in April 2019 when BiH play two matches against Finland.
The 2020 European Men's Handball Championship will take place in January 2020 and be co-hosted for the first time by three countries: Austria, Norway and Sweden. Enditem
