MANILA, June 11 (Xinhua) -- Mongolia qualified for the quarterfinals of the FIBA 3x3 World Cup 2018 after beating Brazil 19-16 in Pool C on Monday at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan.

Previously, the Mongolian team beat host the Philippines and Russia. The team next faces Serbia, the No. 1 team in the world.

This is the first time that the Mongolian national team has participated in the competition. The team won the Asian University 3x3 Basketball Championships, which were held in Malaysia in April.?
