RIO DE JANEIRO, Feb. 7 (Xinhua) -- Udinese have signed Brazilian striker Felipe Vizeu from Flamengo as they begin planning for the 2018-19 season, the Italian side said on Wednesday.
The 20-year-old will be tied to Udinese until 2023 in a deal reportedly worth 6.5 million US dollars.
He will remain at Flamengo until June and will be available for his new club at the start of the 2018-19 season.
"He is a physically strong striker who can play anywhere in attack and score goals," Udinese sporting director Manuel Gerolin said in a statement on Udinese's website.
"He will be joining us next season but we decided to secure him now because there are sure to be more clubs interested in him."
Vizeu, who scored four goals in eight matches for Brazil's under-20 team last year, has netted 17 times in 65 first-team appearances for Flamengo since 2016.
He will join compatriots Danilo and Samir in Udinese's first-team squad. Enditem
