JAKARTA, June 8 (Xinhua) -- Indonesian men's water polo team step up their preparation to vie in SEA Games this year in Malaysia as they target to secure one gold medal in the tournament, association disclosed here on Thursday.
Deputy chairman of the country's water polo association Harlin Raharjo disclosed that the exercises already undertaken by the players are considered insufficient.
To have the team fully prepared, the deputy chairman revealed that the team will have some tryout matches with opponents in Serbia.
"The men team plan to vie with several clubs in tryout matches in Serbia as we have networks there," he said.
Harlin said that the team will leave for Serbia in July and will stay there for two weeks.
"During the period we can vie against five clubs there," he added.
The 29th SEA Games is scheduled to be held in Kuala Lumpur of Malaysia from August 19 to 30.
