RIO DE JANEIRO, Sept. 8 (Xinhua) -- Defending champion Zhang Cuiping said she was guilty of "thinking too much" after taking silver in the women's 10m air rifle standing SH1 at the Rio Paralympics on Thursday.
Zhang started strongly before being overtaken by Slovakia's Veronika Vadovicova, who took the gold medal by a winning margin of just 1.5 points. China's Yan Yaping claimed bronze, 24.2 points behind Vadovicova.
"Actually, honestly I'm not very satisfied with my shooting today. I don't think I really shot up to my expectations," Zhang said, adding: "I was thinking too much and a little nervous."
Zhang, a two-time Paralympic Games gold medalist and dual world champion, is competing at her third Paralympic Games.
Her impairment is the result of polio, with which she was diagnosed at the age of three. Enditem
