RIO DE JANEIRO, Aug. 26 (Xinhua) -- Brazil international striker Gabriel Barbosa has arrived in Italy to complete a 25-million-euro move to Inter Milan, local media reported on Friday.
The Serie A giants beat off strong competition from Juventus to sign the 19-year-old Santos prodigy, Brazil's Gazeta Esportiva said.
Gabriel is seen as one of Brazilian most promising strikers, having scored 57 goals in 155 matches since making his first-team debut for Santos in 2013.
He has been capped four times for Brazil, scoring twice.
The forward was also part of Brazil's gold medal-winning Olympic football team in Rio earlier this month.
Premier League giants Manchester United and Chelsea were also reportedly interested in Gabriel, who is also known by his nickname, Gabigol.
