PARIS, Aug. 1 (Xinhua) -- The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is expected to make the final decision on Russian athletes' admission to the Rio Olympic Games in the next 24 hours, report said.

The IOC had appointed a 3-member panel to deliver the final decision which is expected to come by Aug. 2, according to Sputnik.

"I hope that today or tomorrow all the formalities for the admission of the team will be completed, and the team will go from nervous to working condition. I hope that the (team) will get it together and begin to prepare seriously. Our support for them is absolutely guaranteed," Russian Sport Minister Vitaly Mutko was quoted as saying on Monday.
