ALGIERS, May 1 (Xinhua) -- Mouloudia Club of Algiers (MCA) on Sunday won 1-0 against the other Algiers based club of Nasr Husein Dey (NAHD) to lift Algeria Football Cup 2016, in the final match held at 5th July Stadium in upper Algiers.

Right winger Abderrahmane Hachoud scored the winning goal in the 82nd minute after a powerful 40-meter shot.

Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal handed over the cup to MCA's captain, Faouzi Chaouchi.

It is the eighth trophy for Mouloudia after winning it in 1971, 1973, 1976, 1983, 2006, 2007 and 2014.

Established in 1927, MCA is the oldest and most popular soccer club in Algeria.

On August 13, MCA will face arch-rival and Ligue 1 champion, USM Algiers, in a thrilling Super Cup game.
