RIO DE JANEIRO, Dec. 28 (Xinhua) -- Brazil World Cup winner Edilson Capetinha is to make a comeback aged 45 for Brazilian non-league club Taboao da Serra.
Edilson, who was a member of Brazil's triumphant 2002 World Cup team, has not played since leaving Brazilian Serie A outfit Bahia in 2010.
Taboao da Serra currently play in the fourth tier of the Sao Paulo state football federation.
"He has come here to score as many goals as he can in the Sao Paulo championship but also to be a role model for other players who want to become professional footballers," the club's president Anderson Nobrega told the Globo newspaper.
Edilson was capped 21 times for Brazil from 1993 to 2002. He made four appearances at the 2002 World Cup in Japan and South Korea, starting in the matches against Costa Rica and Turkey.
