MADRID, Oct. 19 (Xinhua) -- Real Sociedad coach David Moyes said that he doesn't fear for his job, despite his side's 2-0 defeat at home on Sunday evening.
The defeat leaves his side 16th in the BBVA Primera Liga table, level on points with 18th placed Levante, who occupy the last position in the relegation zone.
Real Sociedad have only one win from eight matches this season and two weeks ago the side coached by the former Manchester United boss became the only team to concede a goal or lose to Malaga, who are currently one place below them.
Sunday's game ended with fans in the Anoeta Stadium chanting "Moyes go home" but after the match, the coach said he was confidence of maintaining his position.
"I don't think that my job is in danger. We are doing well," said the coach who has been at the club for around a year.
"You can't be changing your coach all of the time and think that is going to be the solution to your problems," he said, adding that Real Sociedad had performed well and been unlucky to lose the game.
"Tactically we played well against one of the best clubs in the league. You have to look beyond the reality, your performances have deserved quite a bit more. Every game has its story and we didn't have any luck," said Moyes.
The coach was also asked about rumors which had arisen in the English press linking him with a possible move to Premier League outfit, Aston Villa, who are currently struggling for results.
"I spoke to clubs over the summer, which is normal, because people know my work, but my intention is to stay at Real Sociedad," affirmed Moyes.
