RIO DE JANEIRO, Oct. 16 (Xinhua) -- Atletico Mineiro striker Lucas Pratto has raised the possibility of switching his allegiance to Brazil due to a lack of opportunities with his native Argentina.
The uncapped 27-year-old has scored 12 goals for Atletico Mineiro in this year's Brazilian Serie A championship but remains on the outer with Albiceleste coach Gerardo Martino, despite injuries to Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero and Gonzalo Higuain.
"Argentina always call up the same players in attack," Pratto was quoted as saying by Sambafoot on Friday.
The former Boca Juniors and Velez Sarsfield player added: "If I do not have chances to play for Argentina and Brazil want me, we'll see."
To be eligible for Brazil's national team, Pratto would need to play in Brazil for at least another four years.
