BUENOS AIRES, Aug. 16 (Xinhua) -- Argentina's national basketball team defeated Brazil 82-68 in the final match of Super 4 Tournament held in Buenos Aires, local media reported Sunday.
With an outstanding performance of Luis Scola and Andres Nocioni, the Argentine basketball team won the Super 4 Tournament, a training competition towards the Pre-Olympic Tournament to be held on Aug. 31 in Mexico City.
The tournament was played between the national teams of Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela and Mexico.
The match to define third place was won by Mexico, who defeated Venezuela with a score of 87-51.
The 82 points scored by Argentina were made by Facundo Campazzo (11), Selem Safar (8), Andres Nocioni (20), Luis Scola (20), Marcos Delia (6), Patricio Garino (2), Nicolas Laprovittola (8), Leonardo Mainoldi (5) and Juan Manuel Torres (2).
The 68 points of Brazil were scored by Ricardo Fischer (15), Rafael Mineiro (9), Leonardo Meindl (3), Marquinhos (11), Augusto Lima (10), Olivinha (5), Evandro Ramos (5), Batista (8) and Marcus Toledo (2).
