ABUJA, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) -- Nigeria's female soccer team will on Monday regroup ahead of next month's All-Africa Games to be hosted in Brazzaville, capital of Congo, the Nigeria Football Federation said Friday.
The team, despite losing the opportunity to qualify last Sunday for the Olympic Games in Rio next year, has put the loss behind and appears set to go back to drawing board during preparations for the 11th All-Africa Games, a statement by the local football governing body said.
Already, interim coach of the (senior) female football team, Chris Danjuma, has invited to the camp of the Super Falcons a total of 35 players in preparation for the women's football tournament, the statement said.
Nigeria, in Group A of the competition, will play host Congo-Brazzaville, Tanzania and Cote d'Ivoire.
