BAKU, June 17 (Xinhua) -- Russia won the group all-around final in rhythmic gymnastics with a score of 35.300 at the National Gymnastics Arena on Wednesday.
Russia led after the first apparatus routine, five ribbons, but was fourth in the second one, three sets of clubs and two hoops. Israel won the silver medal with 35.050 and Belarus took the bronze with 34.850.
Russia ranks first in the total number of medals won at the 2015 Baku European Games after Wednesday's competitions. Russian athletes have already won 29 medals (16 gold, 5 silver and 8 bronze) in Baku. Team Azerbaijan so far comes second with a total of 22 medals, while Hungary is third with 13 medals.
Some 360 athletes are representing Russia at the first ever European Games, an exciting and innovative multi-sport event for the continent, which is underway in Baku.
