LISBON, Jan. 17 (Xinhua) -- Porto beat Penafiel 3-1 in the 17th round of the Portuguese league on Saturday.

Porto's Mexican midfielder Herrera Lopez opened the scoring in the 30th minute. Colombian forward Jackson Martinez extended the lead four minutes later, following a cross by Spanish midfielder Oliver Munoz.

Penafiel forward Rabiola scored in the 50th and Oliver secured Porto's victory in the 62nd.

Porto stands second in the Portuguese league with 40 points while Penafiel stands 17th with 11 points.

Also on Saturday, Guimaraes beat Academica 4-0.
