SHENZHEN, China, Jan. 13 (Xinhua) -- South Korea rallied to beat China 3-2 in the "BaoAn Cup" CFA international women's soccer tournament here on Tuesday.
Canada edged Mexico 2-1 to grab their second victory in the tournament.
China built a 2-0 lead within first 34 minutes. Li Ying broke the deadlock in the 20th minute through a trick shot and Tang Jiali added another connecting Ma Jun's header in the 34th minute.
South Korea managed to change the scoreline to 2-1 just one minute later as Ji Soyun's long shot hit the net.
South Korea launched intense attacks in the second half. In the 62nd minute, Ji scored again to put the score level for South Korea by converting the penalty created by Yoo Younga who was fouled down in the box.
Jeon Gaeul's volley finally put the South Korea 3-2 ahead and also secured the match decider.
"Our first game is difficult, we lost to Canada 2-1. But the team were better today, South Korea and China both will play the World Cup this year. I hope we can both do well," said South Korea coach Yoon Dukyeo.
