QINHUANGDAO, China, Jan. 4 (Xinhua) -- Stephen Hendry, known as the "King of Snooker", will lead other 11 international players to compete the third edition of Joy Cup Chinese 8-Ball Pool Master Championship held here on Jan. 4-8.

As the global mmbassador of the Chinese 8-ball pool, it is Hendry's third year in a row to play this game.

"I just want to enjoy the game. I don't have any expectations to be the winner, because I don't play chinese 8-ball very often, but I hope to get improved," said Hendry.

Hendry has left snooker for more than two years. He denied the rumour that he would return to snooker as a professional. "No, I didn't say that, maybe I will play it for one or two times, but not for full time," he said.

The international squad led by Hendry, consisting of the British "Golden Boy" Gareth Potts , "The Pearl" Earl Strickland and other internatioal stars, will play against 12 Chinese top players.

"I think they are enjoying it. It is getting bigger and bigger," added Hendry.

As the only female player, the "Prickly Rose" Anna Mazhirina from Russia said: "I hope to play good. It is different, because I am the only girl, I hope to show my best game."
