BERLIN, Dec. 13 (Xinhua) -- Hoffenheim's Niklas Suele will be out of action for the rest of the season due to a knee injury, the Bundesliga club announced on Saturday.
Hoffenheim defender Niklas Suele suffered an anterior cruciate ligament rupture in his left knee during yesterdays 3-2 win over Frankfurt. The Under 21 German international had to be carried off the pitch following a sprint with Frankfurt's Haris Seferovic with just seven minutes into the clash.
"I feel sorry for Niklas. He is a great kid who took a great development. We will fully support him and help him through this difficult period of his career," Hoffenheim director of processional soccer Alexander Rosen said.
The "TSG" sit currently on seventh place of the Bundesliga standings, in touching distance to the top six and the international business.
