SANTIAGO, Aug. 13 (Xinhua) -- Argentina's Hugo Tocalli took over as the new coach of Chile's under-20 national football team on Tuesday, replacing his compatriot Claudio Vivas.
Vivas left "because he had problems, it wasn't just because of (poor) results," said Tocalli.
On his plans for the team, Tocalli said "the main thing is to form a good generation of players. Promising results is irresponsible, we have to work well to achieve good results. That's the most important thing."
Tocalli, who in 2007 in Canada won the world championship with Argentina's U-20 team, added, "I want to win as much as any of the players, as much as any on the coaching team. That goes hand in hand with the type of team that emerges."
The U-20 team is preparing for the 2015 South American tournament in Uruguay, a stepping stone to the FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand and the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
