RIO DE JANEIRO, July 15 (Xinhua) -- Brazilian giants Flamengo are reportedly pursuing Costa Rica winger Christian Bolanos.
The 30-year-old is a free agent after ending his contract with FC Copenhagen last month.
He was a key member of the Costa Rica team that reached the World Cup quarterfinals for the first time in the country's history earlier this month.
Jorge Luis Pinto's team eventually fell in the last eight to the Netherlands in a penalty shootout.
"There has been contact (with Flamengo), but nothing definitive," Bolanos' agent Simon Friis was quoted telling Lancenet.
"His value has gone up after the World Cup and he will analyze the market."
Flamengo are currently 19th in the Brazilian Serie A standings.
The season resumes on Wednesday after a six-week recess for the World Cup.
