LONDON, June 27 (Xinhua) -- Sponsors did not hesitate to terminate the relations with Uruguay striker Luis Suarez following his biting Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini at the World Cup.
The betting website 888poker, which signed Suarez as the firm's ambassador, announced Friday said it was reviewing its relationship with him and it will not "tolerate unsporting behavior".
The sportswear giant Adidas said it will stop cooperation with Suarez in their World Cup advertising campaign. Future plans will be revised when the World Cup is over.
Football's governing body FIFA imposed a four-month suspension on Suarez' all football activities, a nine-game international ban and $112,000 fine for his biting which escaped from penalty in the match against Italy that finally lost the last chance to knock-off stage.
