WASHINGTON, March 10 (Xinhua) -- The New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony and the Houston Rockets guard James Harden were named NBA Players of the Week on Monday.

Anthony averaged 29.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 2.75 steals to lead the Knicks to a 3-1 record last week. He collected 33 points and five rebounds, five assists and three steals in the Knicks' 118-106 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Harden led the Rockets to a 4-0 record last week, beating the Miami Heat, Indiana Pacers and Portland Trail Blazers in a row. He averaged 30.3 points and, 6.8 assists.
