SOCHI, Feb. 5 (Xinhua) -- Russia's bobsled driver Alexander Zubkov will carry the Russian flag at the Winter Olympic opening ceremony on Friday, the Russian Olympic Committee announced on Wednesday.

Zubkov, 39, made his Olympic debut in 2002 and won four-man silver in 2006 and bronze in 2010.

Zubkov retired after the 2010 Vancouver Games and returned to win the two-man world championships in 2011 and two-man silver in 2013.
