BELGRADE, Feb. 3 (Xinhua) -- Serbian Minister of Sport Vanja Udovicic said he had no worry about the security of the Sochi Winter Olympic Games when the Serbian delegation left here Monday for Sochi.
Eight Serbian athletes will compete in five events, including Alpine skiing, cross-country, biathlon, snowboard and bobsled.
"I personally expect them to win nine medals," he said, but stressing the he hopes all athletes will excel their best results and give their best performance.
Udovicic also vowed that his Ministry will continue to work on the popularisation of winter sports in Serbia, adding that all measures will be taken to ensure our athletes have equal conditions for the preparation for international competitions.
President of the Olympic Committee of Serbia Vlade Divac also went to the airport to see the team off.
The Winter Olympic Games in Sochi will be held on 7-23 February.
