ROME, Jan. 25 (Xinhua) -- Napoli head coach Rafa Benitez said his side Napoli were very unlucky to hit the woodwork three times and draw 1-1 with Chievo at home on Saturday.
Napoli were pushed to the brink of despair until Raul Albiol cancelled out Gennaro Sardo's opener at the 88th minute.
Benitez wasn't happy with his side's performance.
"We needed a bit more speed in moving the ball, but hitting the woodwork three times against a clammed-up team was very unlucky," he said.
"We haven't been ruthless enough in attack recently and if Dries Mertens had scored instead of hitting the post, it would've been a different game," he said.
Chievo head coach Eugenio Corini was disappointed to see Napoli snatch a 1-1 draw at the final stage.
"We went into a very difficult game with a great deal of courage and it's reductive to say we just defended," he said.
"We had two or three good chances to double our lead, even if obviously in the second half Napoli pegged us back more."
